PET POLICY
We want everyone to enjoy the Market – human and animal alike! Please follow these policies to ensure everyone has a good time while visiting the Omaha Farmers Market.
- Must be kept on a short leash (no extendable leashes, please).
- Keep under control and by your side at all times.
- Keep away from produce and other food vendor booths.
- Must be friendly with children and other pets to earn a right to shop at the Market.
- Not everyone is a dog lover – please be considerate!
- Keep our Markets clean and don’t forget to clean up after your dog.
- Be mindful of the weather – pavement gets hot in the summer!
SNAP/EBT
Use your EBT card at the Omaha Farmers Market to purchase SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) tokens AND double your dollars with Double Up Food Bucks vouchers!
- Visit the Information Booth on-site and swipe your EBT card to receive green SNAP tokens ($1 increments).
- When you get your SNAP tokens, EBT users will also receive FREE MATCHING funds (up to $20) in Double Up Food Bucks.
- Shop the Omaha Farmers Market!
SNAP tokens can be used to purchase:
- Produce
- Meat
- Baked goods
- Fruit/vegetable plants
- Coffee/tea
- Jams/jellies/honey/salsa/condiments
- Spices
- Snack foods
Double Up Food Bucks can be used to purchase:
- Fresh fruits/vegetables/herbs

SFMNP COUPONS
All eligible vendors accept Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program (SFMNP) coupons as a form of payment.

CASH VS. CREDIT CARDS
Please be kind to your vendors by bringing smaller bills and change when you visit the market.
CREDIT TOKENS
All Omaha Farmers Market vendors accept cash, but not everyone accepts cards. In addition to SNAP tokens, the Market also offers credit tokens that can be used to purchase ANY item!
- Credit tokens are blue and they come in $5 increments
- You can get credit tokens at the Information Booth on-site at both Markets
- Credit tokens can be spent like cash at vendor booths (this means you can get cash back when you use them!)
- IMPORTANT NOTE: There is a $1 transaction fee when paying for credit tokens
BANKS/ATM
- Old Market: A Security National Bank ATM is located on the east side of 11th Street between Jackson and Howard Streets (positioned just outside of the Security National Bank branch)
- Aksarben Village: A Security National Bank ATM is located just south of the Aksarben Village parking garage at the corner of 64th Avenue and Center Street (positioned in the bank’s drive-thru)
- There will also be ATMs on-site at the Sunday Market
OLD MARKET

OFF-STREET PARKING
Selecting a parking space in a surface lot or parking garage is convenient and cost-effective.
- SP+ Parking Lot: 519 S. 11th Street (right next to market), open daily, $10.50 flat fee
- City Parking Garage: 1011 Jackson Street, $1/hour
- Landmark Garage: 12th & Harney, OPEN daily, $2 for the first hour, $1 after
ON-STREET PARKING
Throughout downtown, metered parking spots provide quick access to the Omaha Farmers Market, businesses, dining, and entertainment. Most on-street parking surrounding the Omaha Farmers Market is 3-hour parking. Meter Hours:
- Monday – Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
- Sundays and Holidays are free!
TOWED VEHICLES
Vehicles will be moved at 5:00 a.m. every Saturday morning through the market season.

TRANSPORTATION
Bus
There are plenty of options for riding the bus in the Omaha-metro area! For route information, visit the Metro website or call Metro at 402-341-0800 or use Google Maps and search for directions using the transit option. Bike
You can bike to the market in the Old Market and Aksarben Village! Activate Omaha has created a very useful commuter cycling map of the best routes to get you to and from your destination safely.
