Honeyed Blackberry Syrup
2 (6 ounce) containers blackberries (about 2 cups)
1/4 cup honey
1 tablespoon lemon juice
Pinch ground cinnamon
In a medium saucepan, bring blackberries, honey, lemon juice and cinnamon to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring frequently. Reduce heat and simmer about 20 minutes or until blackberries have softened and released their juices, stirring frequently and mashing berries with a spatula. Strain through a fine-mesh sieve, pressing on solids. Discard solids and store syrup in the refrigerator.
